The material of the chassis is a bit softer than i was expected, but this would be more suitable for the mini scale...

I did own a M03 long time ago, but just too much wheel spin when u play on a rough surface. But M03 is very fun and easy to control... yello spring for the front and red for the rear; 30 weighted oil for the fornt and 20 for the rear....then the car should run well....but the fact is...i sold it ....haha

i wanna have this body shell very much......just ask jet hobbies, the body kit may be arrived in 1-2 months later.......i have to wait for it for......1-2months.....OHOH!!!!!!NO!!!!!!

唔知有幾多個人會(目弟)我打左 d mud...

PROBLEMS
*******************
1) Screws are "sucks". They are not "hex-headed" and they r not sharp enough.

2) All the holes (for screwing in) are way too tight.

3) The lower suspension shafts are slight too tight as well.

4) The rear input shaft was not fitted well (a bit lose, not sit in place, moving forward / backward)

5) Gear box's covers

6) Top deck

TIPS (WISH THOSE COULD HELP)
*******************

1) Change it to Ti screws/hex head

2) Use the body reamer to get the slot slightly bigger to start with, otherwise, you is not going to screw in STRIGHT through

3) Clamp the pin (shaft) to the electric drill and sand it down a little bit by using #800 sand papers then finish with #1200

4) Put both of the shims on the "gear side" on ball diff. this will be pushed slightly into the smaller bevel gear to hold the shaft in place. But the disadvantage is, will cause a bit of drag on the drive drain. And for the front diff, put both shims
On one side (as shown in the pic) to push the bevel gear away to smoothen the drive drain.

5) Either drill a 3mm hole (two holes each) on the damper mount (right above the inner screws of gear box's cover) or use a "ball headed" wrench.
Otherwise you won’t be able to open the gear box without moving off the damper mount.

6) there is a little notch that comes out form the top deck (as shown in the pic) will push the motor towards the front and causing a very bad tweak to the chassis. So, simply sand off the notch (as shown in the pic) to clear away from the motor mount.

7) 9550 is preferable. This will create more room for the ESC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes.....i am not sure about those giant size ESC...but for QC (size as competition ESC), VFS-1, GTX are all avilable to fit.

Yes, they r TRF damper.

There is nth worng with the ABC shocks. but the shocks might snap when there is a "deep impact"

I agree with u....certainly better than the mini fan, Tamiya M classes and the Xpress. Simple layout, nice and clean....and the major fact is....it is a shaft drive car...

Not much for now .. since its quite new in the market.. only get some tires & rims from Jap Jap .. as I know there will be tons of options available soon ..

Kitkit.. yes yes .. deemed to be a perfect match with my 1.1 .... cant wait to get it done & take a nude pic on both ..

BTW.. I dont think we need CF on such since the original Fabric chassis is tough enough for a leisure ride .. but one way is a good choice though ... ^_^

it worked out to be the same....i use 9550 to aviod the heat from motor which might affect the Rx/ESC....so i mount the Rx on top of the servo...not much different between ur method...

Agreed .. urs deemed to be better though .. it can eliminate potential motor interfere ^_^

Yes i will...but not started yet.....I have got some LED lights from the "electrical shop"...just gonna DIY....what kind of special features does the light kit has?

Which set u are preferring .. Br James ..

M got both Yokomo & ABC ..

A. Yokomo
Head Light - Constant Flashing
Hazard Light - Turns on 5 sec when throttled neutral
Brake Light - Constant Flashing
Tail light - Constantly lighted

B. ABC

Head Light - Constantly Lighted
Hazard Light - Flashing when throttled neutral
Brake Light - Flashing when braking
Tail Light Constantly lighted

I think DIY is much more cheaper & u may choose variety of coloured LED u want . .. Only cost less than $60HK for 8 to 10 LEDs with wirings & plug ( connect to 3ch of ur receiver )

I just received my ABC light set from Action Hobby, the price is a bit crazy HKD28x, but it is really complicated. This unit will co-operate with the ESC with the brake light effect and when the throttle is in the neutral position, the four hazard lights will on. The set included a transparent light bulbs holder for any 1/10 rc car.
This set is really good design.

Yo .. congrat for ur success .. but mine will dim once i switched on my receiver .. furthermore, inorder to stabilize the output voltage ( 6V powered by receiver ) recommend to solder a resistor to each of the LED .. ( sorry cant remember the exact figure of the resistor )

Nope it wont hurt a bit .. will only consume ur battery that makes ur vechile run time shorter ( around 2 to 3 mins ) thz all

Its quite reasonable indeed .. it sold at similar price in Japan also .. I think the ABC light set is the most comprehensive unit for RC body lights .. it also bundled with a set of lexan light bucket that can be mount on different bodies ..

Hi .. u need to get urself the followings : -

1. Ultra Bright LED - variety of colours available like .. Blue, White, Yellow .. for brake light u may choose Ordinary RED Led more cheaper only around $1 each
2. Resistor to stabalize the voltage ..u may ask the shopper for recommendation .. output 6V and regulate to suit the LED input voltage .. solder those resistor to each of the LED ( + ) - if I'm not wrong pls confirm with the shopper also
3. receiver plug + wires ..

We have regular 1/10 touring gathering outside Western Indoor Sport Centre at every Saturday nite starting from 10 pm.. come & join us .. u may bring along with any kind of ur babies .. our team got nearly all of them ...
