小弟都有一部 RC12L3, 好想玩返...... 但係冇玩 RC 成12年, 從前既電唔知仲用唔用得, 所以諗住買舊 Lipo & 電變 & motor.....

想問一問:

1. RC12L3, 用 Lipo, T板咪擋住左? 定係要用返鋰電? 定有 parts 可改?
2. RC12L3, 後擔可放入 brushless motor 嗎? 而家玩多數用幾多 turn?
3. 呔, 諗住去 TC 玩, 有咩呔啱用? 前 & 後, 牌子, 度數等等.

-> can use Lipo or can use 4cell NiMh,
-> T板 ... Lipo on 1 side, ESC + Receiver on another side

-> you an try the short version of Team Power 3000kv. (about 13.5R)

-> you can try 35 or 37 F&R

- if lipo on 1 side, and ECS, Receiver on the other side, it seems like the weight balance is not even?

- is the parts for RC12L3 still available in KWS? If not, I think it is better off to buy the L5?

--> you are correct, however, you can add 'lead' weight to balance the car.
this is my setup:

(i am using 2 cell A123, but you can put in 1S lipo instead)

--> is the parts for RC12L3 still available in KWS? If not, I think it is better off to buy the L5?
rare parts if any in KWS or even in the US. If you r serious in 1/12, its better to buy a new car with parts support.

Current 1/12 includes:
t-bar cars: HB 12x, Xray XII, S120?
link cars: CRC, RC12R5

Actually 1S Lipo will be lighter than 2S A123.
For Lipo, you will have to consider either 1Cell (3.7v) or 2Cells (7.4v).
The placement of batteries and choice of motor will be different for each setup.
Just a note: Lipo and A123 are not race legal ... this is just for fun (or testing purpose).
If you want to be legal, its better to use 4cell NiMh.

The smaller A123 cell only has 1100mah each.

I also play 1:12 at TRC. I am using RC 12L4, Li-Po 7.4V and brushless.

Car : 12 L4
Battery : 7.4 V Byenergy 分体 4200mah 25C
ESC : EC power 120A with sensor
Motor : Dualsky 8.5T
Gear ratio : 96T/22T
Tire diameter : 48 mm
It may run for over 9 min, after run the Volt arround 3.84 each cell.

adv. -> safe, fast charging, easy maintanence
disadv. -> size is big

Lipo
adv. -> easy maintanence
disadv. -> can be dangerous, high cost

NiMh
adv. -> low cost, standard size
disadv. -> heavy, high maintanence

(these are just my opinions)
