Does anyone care to know WHY we do not need THRUST bearing right now....? Thrust bearing was mainly used on the old 12th scale due to the old ball diff design. But the current F104 series, or other F1 and 12th scale...none of them use thrust bearing. I am just wondering why there is a need to use thrust bearing and I am not sure thrust bearing's main function is to prevent the diff getting loose due to heavy use and high traction...only 104 still use thrust bearing is the F60 stock kits when the whole rear axle are using copper bushing instead of bearing. That might be needed because the axle is using bushing and that will cause the diff to behave differently.

Current 12th scale like CRC and other current F1...I don't see any of those are using thrust bearing. Not even TRF 101.

I think the reasonis that thrust bearing allows axial loading along the rear axle. Normal ball bear ...

Thanks.....I do understand the reason to use the thrust bearing but lately none of the 12th scale and F1 were supplied with one. And hint the idle of using the pressure spacer can replaced with the thrust bearing for the laterial pressure impact.
