1:800 model

I have bought a 1:800 Tirpitz, its length is about 11.5 inches (30 cm).  I want to modify it as remote contro, however the model looks quite small and I would like to seek assistance from Chings on how to modify it

Yes, you should be able to do so!  I have seen a 18cm RC 1:350 flower class!  But you have to look for mini electronics or go the easy way, buy a toy RC mini-sub and transplant the electronics, battery and motor....etc to the Tirpitz!  The follow is the 30cm POW I converted few years back!

Do you have any photos showing the inside of the ship.  BTW, any suggestion on the RC system, which is suitable for this ship.

I don't have any photo for the RC POW anymore.... but it was converted with the RC toy sub kit!  If you want to convert with standard remote, you'll need a very small servo, receiver, esc and battery!  The total weight of the model with remote + battery should be less than 100g!

Something like that.....

I have another idea to see if it works.  I have a lot of RC small helicopters, can I disamble one and use its RC system for this ship.

I have tried it before in some of my mini boats. However, the playing time was short and the control distance is short too.

1:800 is so small, you don't actually need the distance!
