swswsw c-hing. what buggy/truggy are you converting? i am also converting cen matrix to brushless. i will buy the 150A hobbywing as well.

I am converting my Serpent 1/8 on-road into brushless, my plan is 150A hobbywing with 3674 motor, using 6cells Lipo or A123. Originally I want to use 4465, but its diameter too big..

By the way, do you know if Mod 1 pinion gear is available there? and what T is available..

it will be lightning fast with onroad! but motor 3674SL (2350kv @ 22.2v = 52170rpm) may overheating wor! I think most 1/8 brushless motor has a upper limit of around 45000 rpm. 6s is okay with 4465SL, (2000kv @22.2v = 44,400). you may want to check with hobbywing first.

for mod 1, i dont know since i have not bought the system yet. just ask 極x.

yes you can, BUT there is no need since 1/8 ESC size is very big compared to 1/10 ESC.

for trial prototype Mounting plate...need to drill six holes in precise positions....., it should be ok with driller....
if satisfy, will get China factory to do it....let me try first whether this conversion is successful first...and let you know

Good reference... I will go there to take a look...
I thought of doing it with single gear, with gear ratio at 6.95, the ultimate speed is around 95km/hr, seems not crazy enough....
with second gear.. gear ratio can step up to 5.5, then it will have 121km/hr.. this is my cup of tea...

I went to X星 today and they said they have to order Mod 1 pinion. It takes 2-3 days. They said they can order any size T.
健X also can order Mod 1 as well. (I bought the last 1)

do you know... if 孖速, it needs one small servo for brake... right?
As gear 1 have one way bearing, and gear 2 having clutch inside

good... 3rd channel can be synchonized with 2nd channel brake...

speed passxx 改 960 supose 連套brake 都拆埋. 因為靠電變brake.
當架車小左個servo. clutch, brake set. engine. 輕左3成.

if only use 2nd gear (fixed), no mechanical brake required.

but if want higher initial acceleration, 1st gear can help... tested acceleration faster than a 1/12th pan car....in this case... a brake required.

個人認為用break disc 剎車好過ESC ~而家d 1:8 monster 咁勁~ 落電子break既電流好大, 用返break disc 起碼無咁傷電變
