First of all the diff

Clean off the excess grease and dirt from the diff plate using motor spray

The one on the left is before and the one on the right is after

Glue the diff plate to prevent the plate from slipping

Cover the thrust race bearing with tmaiya AW grease
[attach]233047[/attach]

Cover the diff plat and the ceramic diff balls with tamiya diff grease

And there we have it, a super smooth diff

Hi brother! Recently i got a big problem on my ball differential on my DB01!! Just want to change some parts on it...
I found that the the screw inside the ball different will become very tight after a few run and become no the function of differential...or it will be come very loose and the car lost power!!! i am not sure that the thrust bearing is damaged or not...

Anyway where you bought the thrust bearing and the large ball differential plate? in KWS?

to run my db-01....everytime I have to use teh wrench to make both very very very tight...so there's no function of the differential,

anyoone could solve my problem....

I will try to replace the thrust bearing tonight( if i can buy it tonight).

Actually i have changed the nut and screw already...just left thrust bearing not yet been replaced.

BTW, due to losing problem, i burnt my ball differential before!

hi mate sorry for the late reply i think you should try and change your thrust bearing and diff balls to ceramic ones as the orginal 1 can get quite rough after afew runs and i think that's why the diff tighten or loosen itself but it never happened to me before so i don't know what exactly happen
i think you should also try to replace the orginal DB01 diff joint with the TRF501x diff joint as they are direct fit and it will prevent the pully from melting

I bought the ceramic thrust bearing, ceramic diff balls and the diff plate from the internet and they are quite pricy as well

is ok! i finally fixed the ball differential by replacing the thrust bearing. I found that the old one was 卡住 inside the differential cup...it can't rotate basically and make the differential more tight with the nut after some rotation.

Anyway hope it is really fixed and i may go to test it on sunday in TKO.
