標題: My HL KV-1 with new powerful sound
Simply by just add an amplifier kit and a new 5W speaker.

By tapping the signal from the output of original volume control to use for the input of the new amplifier, the sound comes out will be a lot louder and more like the tank.
The power supply for the amplifier is used directly from the main Battery as for the tank, no need extra power at all.
The speaker was pickup from shamshuipo. It's a 2" full range high power speaker that has a huge magnet about the size of the cone itself. The sound is reasonable good, too.
For the speaker alone, the sound will be a little light, so I cut the end of a green tea bottle and use it as the box of the speaker. The sound is louder and deeper tone.

Now I'm happy that the sound of my KV1 is like the sound of a tank.

想問問,換speaker其實係唔係都只係駁返果2條線(冇估錯應該係2條掛)
唔需要搞塊電路板??

因為行金屬履帶落街行永遠只聽到履帶聲而聽唔到引擎聲.......

As I don't know chinese, so I have to guess your question by using google translation.

I did not do anything to the MFU board.
The original speaker output plug was pulled out and not needed anymore.

The 3 wire from the MFU to the original volume control pot was using the wrong color connected. RED to the ground and BLACK is the signal out to the amplifier section.

As I disconnect the speaker plug from the MFU, the build in amplifier section in the MFU will not work or be loaded at all.

Now my KV1 has a louder engine sound that won't be covered by the metal track sound and the sound of the machine gun is a lot more real, too.

Bro, I see~ so i just unplugged to original plug, then try to jam to the new speaker, right?? if get wrong on ground line and signed out line, will the speaker be no sound??
Because i have little knowledge on it..... hope my poor chinese-english you will understand....

You can just follow me by looking at the positions on the small board (volume control).
Solder the wires to the same spots as I did, everything should be OK!

OK ..... you need to get the Amplifier Kit and a Speaker.
I got the Amplifier kit at the WECL (Welfare Electronic Component Ltd) Shop on Upstair. It is a Kit #47 that use IC TDA2003.
And I got the speaker from the Cheong Kee Electronic Co Ltd. (208 G/F).
The speaker will be at all the way inside of the shop with all the cables and Heatshrink Tubes.

I want to ask if the HL KV-1 got headlamps? As I checked on the internet, I can see Tiger I got that.... But I dunno if KV-1 also got that . Thanks!

All around the HL KV1, there is only 1 LED light as the arrow points at in the photo.
It will flashing when the power switch turned on, then will full on after the engine sound started. It will turn back flashing when the engine sound stopped.
There is no red tail lamp, either.
