始終軸車玩快車唔夠皮帶車,
不過鍾意軸車又費事換,所以決心玩好架TB EVO5 先作者: shungyan 時間: 2012-4-17 21:44
9.5 Turbo in TSW..... No need la gra! You may not faster than a proper setup car with just a 10.5T without turbo. BTW, TB5 is more than enough to handle such power.
In the old days damper length determines the max travel of the car like MR4TC. Since TC3, the chassis uses a screw to set the max travel of the suspension which is for convenient indeed.
The coil spring determines the ride height of the car. usually the car will drop a little when put on the ground, it means the suspension is travel a little bit upward (the body move downward). The amount on that suspension travel affects the car's movement in many different ways. It affects the tendency the angle of roll axis to the ground, the amount of roll, the overall grip, the on throttle and off throttle response, and etc. Some time we will send the max suspension travel where the spring will be free from compress when holding the car in air.
In general,
1. you need same down stop travel on left and right
2. in overall, more down stop all over the 4 suspensions gives less aggressive response (slow response). Result in more roll when cornering but will have more rounded corner. But weight transfer is more steady over the corning.
3. Overall less down stop gives more aggressive response (fast response). Less roll but transfer more weight. Cornering become fast and shape. But it may too shape where all the grip is use before complete the apex turning.
4. Too much or too less down stop will decrease the overall grip and make the car difficult to control
5. Front have less downstop than rear, gives faster off throttle cornering response while on throttle will result in push or less willing to turn. Too much different btw front and rear will have a chance to oversteer when entering the corner.
6. More front down than rear result the opposite but usually not recommended.
It also need to combine with suspension setting, shock setting and make a balance between them. But again, the tyre determine 90% overall setting. The rest of the setting only affect less.
If I were you, I will use 400 degree yokomo in front and 350 degree yokomo in rear. 3 holes piston. Shorten the upper camber link to give more reactive response. 作者: f-16 時間: 2012-4-18 23:46

I use SD LCG to race 9t in brushed age. No issue at all!!!作者: totimothy 時間: 2012-4-20 11:34 回復 車仔同學會 的帖子
Yes! Are you using front spool or one-way? Any car will have a chance to spin when braking. It's all depends on your car setting and the how is the grip will be when accelerating or decelerating. Shaft drive car will have a torque what cause the car to roll. The smoother the drive train it has, the less roll it will be. So shaft drive car will have higher chance to get uneven grip on left and right. In the case of using one-way, as there is only 2 wheel effective when braking, uneven grip will become significant and cause the car spin. BTW, we usually not using brake when run with one-way!作者: f-16 時間: 2012-4-23 00:11 本帖最後由 f-16 於 2012-4-23 00:12 編輯
