標題: Questions on Twin Detonator
HI!
I want to join the big foot family and would like to buy Twin Detonator.
I have the following questions b4 I go KWS....

1. Should I change the motor to 'Black Pig' or else other?
2. I just want to play 1x 7.2V. Does ESC 230 ok?
3. I am wondering how 1 ESC support 2 motors......

Thank you.

If you add the cost of ESC (like MC330), two black pig or TZ/RZ/BZ, high torque servo it will not be much cheaper than E-zilla/ E-Savage but the performance is much worse than E-zilla/ E-Savage. Of course, you may get fun for upgrading your truck or you just the look and feel of TD.

How can I set it up if using ESC 330?
Thank you!

Due to the MC 330 is not design for duo motor. You better use a real duo motor esc. such as, Novak Super Duty XR, Mtroniks Sonik 4 Super E-Truck Dual Motor or APEX Twin Motor Speed Controller.

That means if I use MC 330, then I have to work on wiring modification?

MC330 is a bit on the edge of the motor limit. Beside, it's mainly for touring car.
Novak or mtronics or similar are perfered. They're more robust.(Especially from dirts & moisture).
Novak you can get some decent 2nd hand at reasonable price.
Black pig is a little bit higher in rev. limit but low in torque.
If I choose between white pig or black pig, I'll use white pig because it have more torque,
as Twin-Detonator can't use the high -end rev. of the black pig anyway.

If you have already have some black pig in your inventory you can mount them and try.
But if you're to buy 2 new motors my recommendation is to get those Yokomo pro-stock II motor. (<100 each)
If you want slow crawling (sort of) you can buy 35t.
Or you can by standard 27T or 23T.

If you insist on using MC330, twin motor of 23T is the lowest you can use.
Thanks for your reply.

1. Yokomo pro-stock II which good torque? How many T?
2. Which model of Novak I should pick if I choose that Yokomo motor? What's the reasonable 2nd hand price?
