標題: TA05 入冷宮!!!
After today's race.... TA05 正式入冷宮

Doesn't matter how I set it. Asked all around, and can get the car running correctly. It's like drifting on the track.....

I tried with different ride height, springs, damper adjustment, camber. Tires were Tamiya Reinforced B3. And the car just drifting around the track.

Motor was Trinity Co27. In a 5min race, I ran 3 more laps with my white pig M03 than my 27T TA05

Can it be the lower deck issue? Lower desk looks a little 彎曲.... Should I get a Carbon lower deck???

set 返好 down stop 未呀?

Corrected la, but still didn't solve the problem. I don't know if the long term incorrect down stop made the lower deck 彎曲

downstop is very important.....how many downstop value u adopted for your TA05....

BTW, please check if your transmission is smooth.....I have come across this experience in my touring car....a small stone was knocked in the pitch of the rear gear pulley....the car always oversteer once off throttle.....trying many setup, but cant solve the problem...finally, I know the problem is the unwanted small stone in the pulley....upon removal of this stone, everything appears in order...

So check your rear transmission very carefully....check if any unwanted object

I just clean up both gear boxes before the race. Just that I didn't clean the ball diff, and it's not absolutely smooth, but it's not really bad. Shouldn't be an issue.

What kind of tires are you using? Tires play a very important role.

1) what downstop value u ar using?

2) what spring and oil u ar using ?

3) please check if the belts are in good condition?

4) please check those pulleys to ensure no unwanted objects (just cleaning the gear box is not enough because those minor object could be hidden in the pitch of the pulley

5) check if the car can run smoothly,...maybe ball bearing die already

6) please check rear toe in...if the a-arm or a-arm stand already distorted

BTW, which lexan body u ar using....it also affect the performance wooh

1) I don't know..... I thought downstop is for lowering the car, so I didn't have rebounds. And possible damaged the lower deck.

2) I have the TRF oil damper with 40 oil and yellow spring front and rear

3) Rear belt is brand new, front belt is good condition

4) I just opened and cleaned both gear boxes

5) All bearing cleaned before the race

6) all still good. nothing broke.

Here is what I am going to do..... get a new lower deck, different color springs, and then I will re-build the car including the dampers

It will take a while to order the parts, and take a long time before I can start doing anything..... so TA05 will be in 冷宮

try the A tires as well? What kind of surface u are running? I think it's the tires

down stop is for controlling the down travel of the suspension arms. For ride height, adjust the spring collar on the shock.

try rear toe in as well.

M.. try to use TAMIYA tire type-A , even SOREX.
Tire is everything !!!
My TA05 only change「carbon-fiber shock stay」,「TA04 Hard Rear Upright（toe-in 0-degree）」,serpent shock ,the others are all original . I even use Futaba S3003 servo . But all grip of my TA05 comes from SOREX 28-degree , even other players use SOREX 36-degree（on XRAY T2 or etc.） . TA05 is a heavy car , require a bit more suspension stroke . You may 「Tamiya Reinforced B3」入冷宮, but try other TIRES .

Speaking of that..... I was using 60D Reinforced Type-A for my cooper, and that's lotttts of grip. So.... is it really just the tires??? Hmmm..... That day wasn't very hot, so maybe Type-A better than Type B3.

No down stop --> very little or no grip (tires lifted off the ground) on inner side of tires when turning

IN my opinion,tire is the main main point,if use the wrong tire,it is very diffcult to get the right setting,also,may be it's my problem only,this car the main problem is easy overheat on summer,this car easy make motor and esc very hot and make the performance down!

use B tires only in July/ Aug if u are in North America...esp during mid afternoon...other than that, pls stick with A tires. Type B doesn't work at all if air temp is around 15 to 25 Degree C..

sounds like a problem I had had when I started playing.
Mr. Gigaracer, try this test.
1. Put your car on a flat suface, (eg. table top)
2. With the car's rear or front facing you, lift up the chassis of the car from the centre of the bumper/rear
3. Does your A-arms travel a little downwards before the wheels lift off the surface?

If the wheels lift off the surface as soon as you lift up the chassis, maybe you do not have enough down stop.
If the car runs in this condition, what happens is, when the chassis of the car rolls around a corner, the "outside" wheel might be in the air and results a very unpredictable car.......

the down stop controls how much the arms drop when you lift up the chassis. for ride height, use the springs on the damper to adjust.

Yes, should have said no rebound caused by wrong down stop setting.

你有冇hudy1:10套set車架?
set downstop -10mm,車高頭4mm,尾4.5mm
我跟足說明書set,頭用白彈弓,油50,尾用藍/王彈弓,油40
車架軟,次次跑完車架扭,所以換左炭底(tau),
跑23t換頭單向
我架ta-05就係咁set,你可以試下好唔好跑

Thanks everyone's suggestions.

My TA05 is FIXED!!!!!!!!!!  It's alllll because of the rear ball diff.....  I disassemble it, and clean it, and now the car is all good with center one-way.  No more drifting around
