標題: How to choose: 2WD vs 4WD
May sound a bit silly but for 2WD vs 4WD, which one is with more fun to run? I guess "easy for maintenance" would go to 2WD.

2wd will give you longer running time, faster, but no traction.
4wd super easy to control, especially in cornering!!

4wd入灣可以收油較遲，出灣俾油又可以早啲！on race一定係4wd快d~
但2wd結構比較簡單同維修方便，呢點亦係2wd受歡迎嘅原因之一^^

I guess if everything is identical, 2WD should have a longer run time than 4WD due to the energy expense in 4WD is higher than 2WD.

Yes, I do think so. And theorectically 2WD should be lighter which helps a longer run time as well......

The more I study the 2WD, the higher the desire to get the car, wanna to have it this weekend so I can run on next weekend!

I also have the same preference!!! Specially on maintenance, costs and drivetrain efficiency points of view.

One thing very important for beginner. If you play with bros such as in TKO, most of them play 4WD (DF03) but you drive 2WD, you can't catch up with them in sand road and you may lose fun. So consider what groups you are playing with as well.

get a 4WD la. I just bought a 2WD truck.... really hard to drive, on-road or off-road. Lost interest after a few runs. Want to sell it and get a DF03 already.

I think you need to control the throttle more gentle especially on sand and mud otherwise you will be drifting. In principle same as on road 2WD and 4WD, i think.

quite bad.... spin a lot. I was very gentle on throttle, but still very easy to spin. Well, but it was just a cheap RTR Traxxas Rustler. Ultima should be better, but it's still 2WD afterall.

But the car (2WD) jumps great!!!! And it lands with perfect angle.

上星期曰我係TKO兩種都有玩, 我係玩Mini-Inferno同GB-01, 第一次玩Buggy 4WD係好易控制, 基本上吾駛點Set架車都好好走, 但係架GB-01就好吾同, 個限滑啦、轉向啦、油壓噤都要Set得好先好走, 我果架本身未Set好, 攪到成日轉向過多,當時真係玩到冇心機玩。

For 2wd if you find it easy to spin, really need to check the setting especially the tires. With wrong tires, 2wd is harder to drive than 4wd. But I find 2wd is more fun to drive as it is not as easy and forgiving as 4wd. Give some patience to practice and you may find it is actually more fun to play

...jumping is a breeze and very fast
