標題: TA04 or TA04R
Anyone see any advantage of TA04 or TA04R with Lipo battery?

With most of the current touring cars putting the battery on one side, we still need to add weight on Lipo to balance the car.  But for TA04's lay out, Lipo would be perfect, just like the F103GT.  Or the new Losi Touring that putting the battery in the center.  

Any thought?

My friend's TA04R(Cannot tell it is "R" or not as it has so many options with it) has a very sharp and round smooth cornering with 23T motor. But not know in Modified. TA04R is a good car except the efficient is not that high.

There should be some advantages with such balanced layout. But I suppose the effect is not that high. Currently all the brushless / 5 cells systems with battery put on one side suffer un-even cornering. But the effect is little especially when running on a track. Other factors seems contributing more in un-even cornering then this little unbalanced weight

Go back to the foundation design, almost all the chassis are still base on nimh battery. If you want to find a perfect chassis for lipo battery, not at this moment!!

For me, TA05 with Lipo, one side heavy, one side light......... but actually, I don't really feel it when driving on the track.  But I also see many "high-hands" add weight on the Lipo side.  

so, TA04 is just a thought.

Your though is very 正路. But for TA04, its suspension design limits its ability to around 12turn speed. So Losi will have better outcome! My friend has a JRXS-R. This baby dials

Speaking of that, both JRXS-R and DF03 are both putting the battery in the center.

Not sure he will speak in the forum. But I will invite him to share!!

IMO, R has improved a lot! Simplified structure. More reliable. Stiffer chassis. But still has some weak points. Shock absorber's piston does not fit the damper body which need fine sanding. Oil leakage. Plastic hex hub is another problem. Suspension part is not stiff enough.

Does it have to do with the A arms?  TA05 and TA04 use the same arms.
