標題: Freshly new built Samurai from new spare parts
Chrome chassis......No ! Just spray on it with special paint ! Look better than original chassis 's colour ! I also spray the body with metallic red, but could not be seen on the pics !

I bought this paint from Art Supply shop !
It called " Dupli-Color ( Chrome )
Made in Germany
It cost HKD 60 !

there is a paint from gunze that is plate silver. It is even brighter. If you get bored with that finish, the gunze color you could try out.

u may find the gunze paint in universal models(環球模型）).....waterloo road(ho man tin)...windsor house(CWB)....

I remember that one of the selling point for this buggy is its light weight, is it something around 1090g? My friend had this buggy 20 years ago!!!! This buggy can enjoy a long run time even with those 1200mAh NiCD battery because it's light weight.

actually I am located in california. However, I go to taiwan alot for business. So, I go to get model supply there. The plate silver from gunze is not cheap but by far the best chrome type paint I have ever used. It doesnt come flacky like the other chrome paint. It just needs one heavy coat and it looks AWESOME. Use air brush to put it on. I use it for some of my other model projects. I am pretty sure you can find in hk. HK is like model and toy heaven also for me. however, I rarely go into HK. I am not too familiar with the shops there though....

I think the Gunze metal paint can be found in many hobby store. But I think the best product is Alclad II paint. Check out the web site below:

I have the alclad as well. But, I prefer the plate silver. The alclad is still a bit flaky for me....

actually can't said i'm a retro RC collector.......because i'm just got a few no. of old model.....comparing to the expert like u......what's a shame!!!
I've got a used wild willy since 10+ years ago, i've started to restore it few months ago......around 70% finish....maybe post it a bit later la!!!

You are too good to be, cause you could keep your buggies till now,
I could not keep them ( my past buggies ), 95 % of my collections was bought in 4 years !

Longing to have a look at your 's buggies !
