Original FETs (3010) are inferior to many others like the 4562 in terms of the max current that they allow and internal resistance. There shouldn't be any proof that 3010s are more durable.
But there is a high chance for the PCB to break down when someone replacing the FETs does not do their job quickly and thus it burns some of the ICs or even the Fets. You might have thus misblamed the new FETs. Instead, you should have blamed the person who changed the FETS for you.

Exactly, as the person who helped me to add Fet, would test each level of the FET after soldering.....see they were working properly or not, make sure all each Fet was working to obtain the best performance!
If you just using X speed....you won't really feel big difference.....If you change to AD stock or even Chili.....you will feel the difference.....and you will feel that the respond of the motor will be faster, especially when you release the trigger, then compress the trigger again!

what i was trying to explain to 樓主was to differentiate between PCB and the FETs, the 3004/3010 are of coz inferior to 4562 7389 etc. but that fact that they burn easier will protect other parts of the PCB from failing.
so if u want the PCB to be durable (not the fets), use FETs that allow lesser current.
Does it mean that FET = fuse? Since FET has to handle high current (like a gateway) so it will burnt first then no current pass the PCB circuit. There should be no guaranty that FET can protect the PCB. Please correct me if I am wrong.
FET is not a fuse, but the FET u use should commensurate with what the rest of the PCB can handle.
originally, it's always the FET that burns first under high current, but if u change the FET to something else, well... something will be different of coz.
Wrong concept. Fets are not devices to protect the pcb and having lower quality Fets does not mean better protection for your pcb. (d人以為換fet塊pcb會易死d,其實通常係因為手工唔好.)
