is it the best combo ? can I say is it the fastest combo?

A lot of world class drivers use:

ESC: LRP SXX TC Spec  or  Speed Passion GT V2.0
Motor: Speed Passion V2 or V3

Dont know if this is the fastest for you. but the fastest guys use them.

Most top end ESC's do not have any motor limit, so that is that 1st step in your choice.
Below are top class ESC's:
. LRP SXX TC Spec
. Speed Passion GT v2  (this is on sale now, so a very good deal)
. Tekin RS Pro

Some local/ very good popular brands:
. Team Wave RB50
. HobbyWing 120A v2

As for motors: SP, Novak and LRP are very good choices.

Some c-hing may say its better to match the ESC + motor brands to get the most out of them... so LRP or SP are your choice.  good luck!

if you have budget, for sure get new one.

If you buy LRP, make sure it is "hong " goods!  Warranty inside!

I agree. Buy an no-limit esc and get slower motors first. Then play with gearing and settings. Then work your way up to faster motors when you have full control of your car.

If you want expandability, consider an esc with 3S lipo support. That way, you can try the power of 3s + 5.5r. This will be faster than 2s + 2.5r.
