Li-Fe vs. Li-Po

All ching,
I am still using Ni-MH because the Li-PO is very trouble, I bought a few pack Li-PO before but it is very easy to fat-up even I storage-charge, because I am not always have time to play RC, some times not even play it for 2-3months.
In KWS I saw some Li-FE battrey around 3000mah, I wonder will higher capacity Li-FE be available in a shour coming time ? Also, some ching said that Li-FE can charge and storage for a very long time without damage, and the capacity will not decreased. Can any ching tell the furure trend of Li-FE ? Will it replace Li-PO in a short coming time ??

c hing may you share what brand and model no of lipo are you using ?

Ching, I'm using the 3000mah Li-Fe pack, I can tell you that it's no need to take care the battery! It's safety but the problem is not enough fast.

Is it because lower voltage ?
I don't need fast ( I play buggy only) but need long run time, no need to buy many pack, no need special care is my target.

    well.....then Li-Fe is your choice

If u r a casual player, LiFe is a good choice.  almost no maintenance required.  I used 2S2P (6.6v@4600mAh) + 10.5.  can play around 12-15 minutes per charge.

ching, that's what I want, which shop can I buy the 4600mah ? I only saw 2800 or 3000 in kws...

Basically those 2 are same in Lithium, but the voltages are different.
-Li-Po = 3.7V / cell
-Li-Fe = 3.3V / cell

ching, that's what I want, which shop can I buy the 4600mah ? I only saw 2800 or 3000 in kws...

I made the 2S2P from round cells found at taoboo.  Each round cell is 2300mAh.  note that the 2S2P are wider and taller than the pre-made ones.  So not all cars will fit the home-made packs.  What car do you play?

Sorry for hijack this post, just wondering is Lipo charger can be use on LiFe battery? or need a special charger?

I am using slash 4x4 and RC10T (old type).
Maybe RC10T cannot fit LiPO/LiFE size, but do you know slash can install your home made type LiFE??

I have RC10B4 and LiFe do not fit, unless you cut the sides.  So I can assume RC10T does not fit as well.

I remember another c-hing tried A123 with Slash (2WD) and the battery fits.

You will need a charger that has LiFe support since the charger will cut off the charging at 3.7V/cell rather than at 4.2V/Cell for LiPo.  In another word, dont try to charge your LiFe in LiPo mode.
