add a fan and see how it goes, if still too hot then u should work ur pinion down or u WILL damage ur motor

18t ... Bit high.... Not enough torque ga... Try 16t la....I think I use 14 or 15 with 3s... But pain in the butts to change pin....

LiFe is good idea, but 2000mah may be a bit small... U could probably stack them together to run parallel ...
