The gyro will help, but it can never violate the law of physics !  

This kind of small planes are better for indoor use.
One can use it outdoor, and after a strong wind, you lose your plane.

I actually fly some of these UMX planes outdoor, it handles quite well even without AS3X like the UMX Champ, in moderate wind it is still safe to fly UMX Radian, in stronger wind I can fly UMX Cub S with confidence, the SAFE system is a new technology to level the plane at all time and it works, I never lost any of my UMX planes I owned, you need to try or see for yourself to believe, FYI, I'm a beginner of rc pilot.
