The Tamiya TA-05 chassis platform has been tearing up the race track and parking lots since July 2005. Since its release, it has gone through some refinements and evolutions to give consumers the best mid level touring car in the R/C industry.
With the introduction of the TA-05 IFS (Inboard Front Suspension), many consumers want to know; "Can I convert my standard TA-05 into an IFS?" The answer is YES! We have a simple parts chart below to show you what you need. The chart reflects two options. One option is using stock IFS parts and the second option reflects using Hop Op Options to do the same thing.
The lightweight suspension is also available as the Short Lightweight Reversible Suspension Set (item 54083). This set uses suspension arms that are 1mm shorter. The result of this design is enhanced mechanical grip. When using item 54083, be sure to use swing shafts 51092 and 53724.
To complete the fitting of the IFS parts on your standard TA-05, please reference the IFS instruction manual HERE This manual is available in .pdf format and will help guide you through any issues or questions you have regarding installation.
C杯羅絲易甩? I haven't wor. I use glue during the first installation.
BTW, i wana convert my TA05 to IFS before, when I look at the price (eg. Short revs arms...$400 + IFS parts $$$) I give up. May be buy a new IFS when my TA05 is finished. Then i can get an extra shell as well.
