Simple and fast.
Just use a 6 mm drill to drill the holes of the original battery holder and make the holes a bit larger.

之後用介刀批左果兩隻兩邊電碼腳果兩粒'滴'，就得喇...

M2Cents C-Hing, RC cars are already so low to the ground, it is already ground effect right ,,,,, haha LOL.  

Joking aside, if there are any ground effect at all, it ll probably be minimal (probably more if on indoor with very very flat carpet tracks).  Tyres in RC cars will have much much more effect, hence probably worth spending time/energy with tyres.

Of course ground effect decors look cool,,,, which is also important.

Just using 3 racing foam tyres.
It's a bit too fast but no problem during conrninig.
