Yes yes .. when the tires are TOO bite, the car will flip ..flip ,more ..
Of course, for race/track, you want higher traction tires .. but for bashing around .. diff story .. (same as limit diff)
Let's say .. I was setting up my Slashe 4x4 VXL for my little son, (he wants faster car ... and for kids, traxxas is good) so I swap out the stock tires, and put a set of very soft SCT wheel and tires ... when I tried it .. flip flip flip ... ( or my skill is so horrible .. ) then I swap back to a big fat tall harder tire .. MUCH better! less flip, much easier to control, and work much better on sand ..
Summary .. for bashing, on asphalt ... "medium" tire is good .. (last much longer too! High grip soft tires may last for 1 or 2 pack battery .. )
I care about how long does the rubber last for more than will it flip or not. Obviously on some low CG racer you would like to have more bite, but for SC may be another story. As you are running on grass which can provide more traction than dirt surface so you don't really need the super soft small pin tyres. Save them for dirt or race track
