For 5.5R, reference fdr is 7.5-8.5
So you can increase your pinion size a little bit more. Its better to check the temperature of your motor after 2-3 minutes. If temp < 65C, then you are ok. If temp > 70C, your gearing is wrong.
gearing, track size, outside temp, driving style, car setup ... all will affect motor temperature.

ic..thanks hardmankam ching useful info. I will check motor temp as u say at the next time in PYC. , last time I had check temp when 8.4 gr. around 5x c (no motor fan.)
