TO all chings..
i read lot post already
but.. cannot find one post is talk about lipo "C" about, if C is too big will it hurt the ESC??
and higher voltage make motor faster or higher C make motor faster????

i just bought two 7.4V 5400 mah 50C but i m afraid that will damage my ESC
because 50Cx5400 = 270A?! is it too much for my ESC?
my ESC is orion 2pro .. (from RTR set by kyosho inferno VE/DBX VE;)

i m really confuse, help@.@!
pls type chinese if u like.. thank you!

It is only say that the battery is capable of handling such current draw, the higher c rating is better.

In the case of say your load demand 150a, your esc say have a 120a rating.  your esc will.damage before the battery, as your battery can handle 200+a.

thx
but i just foud that in my RTR set manaul say the ESC max cont. current: 70A

so am i bought a wrong lipo??
but tell you a fact is, yesterday me and my friend both try our kyosho RTR stock esc set with a battary of 4000mah 35C 7.4V but the ESC is still run fine, how come?
or the 70A max continous current of esc is only mean it will take 70A but IF more then 70A is no problem?
pls help
thank you so much

電池C數只係話俾你知佢可以承受幾大既放電量(即係mah x C)
C數大既電唔會整死d電子野
C數太細既電有機會玩到排電漲到hihi,之後就唔要得

Let me answer you. Absolutely no problems with your Lipo on yr ESC !! Don't worry.
Just play and enjoy !!

What you need to care about is your Lipo usage, don't use it until no battery. Check the voltage while using it.. and never let it go below 6V !!

Thx all !
is it suppose most of the pre-set ESC today will cut off lipo @ 6V??
because i dun see any setting button in my esc....?

No. Not all ESC supports low voltage Lipo cutoff. You better check the manual of yr own ESC. If not, you may need to get a voltage checker from any RC shop. Or you can buy a low voltage alarm and plug it on yr battery balance wire during play.

Pls correct me if i am wrong.

I think 50x5400 = 270A is the max current the battery can handle (theoretically). But the whole circuit must obey the law : voltage = current x resistance. The resistance of the circuit include the internal resistance of the battery, the working resistance of ESC, and the resistance of the motor (the no. of turns t). So, I think actual working current runing will much less than 270A. I don't think it is a problem for your ESC if you are runing your car normally.

I just check my esc. It say peak current 150A, Max continous current 70A. 7.4-9.6V is ok. And my lipo is 50Cx5400mah=270A. So...... ....... is it no problem for 270A to 150A?
Thank you, by the way, what is max continous current ? Chinese is ok for me chingss

See if I am of some assistance.

In Lipo batteries, the "C" means the rate at which the current your battery can discharge in a given time. If your battery is, say 5200 mAh, it means it has the capacity to discharge 5.2 amphere (or 5,200 milliaphere) in one hour. So 1 C means 1 hour. 2 C means it can discharge all the current at doublt that rate, i.e. in  1/2 hour. 4C means 4 times that rate and so on. So a 30C battery with 5200 mah means it can dishcarge all 5,200 ma the battery holds in 1/30th of an hour, i.e. 2 minutes continuously, without damage to the battery. Think of "C" as the diameter of a water hose. The bigger the hose, the faster the current can discharge without damage to the battery.

As the amount of current required is decided by the "ESC" depending on the demand of the motor, so however many "C" or capacity of your battery, it won't damage the Esc. It will only ensure that it will always have sufficient current at its disposal in meeting the demand of the motor. However these days some brushless motor are so powerful that it requires be fed so much current at "burst" time that you will need to have a high capacity Esc, together with a high capacity battery with high C, in order to enable the motor to reach its peak performance.
