Receiver battery for 12son

is it necesary to use received battery in 12 son ? any people who is using can tell me ? thanks

not really necessary.

good thing:
1. longer runtime (10 sec or so) good if you race 8 minutes
2. higher voltage to your servo -> faster speed and more torque
3. if your electronics have problem due to low voltage, it can fix it.

bad thing:
1. car is heavier (not sure about HK's rules since i'm oversea, but if you use international rule, 12 jai with the latest batteries is already overweight)
2. need to recharge receiver battery
3. if your receiver/ESC is big, you may have problem finding space to fit it.

Overall, it's up to you. I normallyuse it but sometime not use it when i'm lazy.
