if the transmitter and the receiver still works. then you shouldn't have problems with it.
Crystal can be brought. and can use the aircraft crystals set (As long as the same manufacturer of the radios)
I got the Futaba Attack 2 channel Radio set. it works, but got some jitters on the receiver ends. but that radio is more than 15 years old. so i just use it in case the hell gate opens.
