Why don't we talk about how to keep a motor fast?

Do you have any suggestion? I want to know too!

老師. 你真係要教下我

I'll at least do these:

1. reshim the rotor so it rotates at(near) the centre of the magnetic field.
2. check if the rotor runs smoothly on the 2 bearings.
3. balance the rotor.
4. run-in the motor at a low voltage.
5. check its temperature after a few laps.

any other suggestions?

fly copper head if that is black
spary motor cleaner after play
see the motor bearing is fit or not when brand new

But would it be too difficult to use a standard commutator lathe on a mini-z motor?

you're talking about if the motor case not sit with bearing/rotor ?
usually , i would not lathe the motor case , cause it may not refined as the
machine/ computer cutting , so i will test before i buy ( not all the shop can give me this service !   )
but normally , it's ok ! .  for me , if the motor case not good fit , i'll just use an old one or replace the
bearing the see if it will better or not .

其實用邊隻Motor Case(PN or ATM)都可以好快, 不過可能要調較一吓麼打芯前方個銅圈嘅位置.

Yes, we call it "銅頭機" in cantonese but in English, it is "Commutator Lathe".
Please, if you have used that kind of machine on a 130 motor, show us how. I guess many people here want to see that.

New ATM? like Stock R or AD stock type?

M1 Endbell , dont know , it should be the stock R one
