it is very difficult to check the condtion of the second hand engine....
Someone may "teach" u to rotate the engine to check its compression....I tell u that its nearly meaningless....or someone may "teach" u to check if the parts are clear and new in look...I also tell u that its meaningless
to check condtion of the engine, it is required to dissemble the engine...
to check the piston surface "any little scar...if yes, the engine has became a rubbish already
to check the connection between conrod and crankshaft...if the obvious gap is found, need to change conrod....
to check the cylinder and the heat sink if there is overheat sign......It is difficult to how to check in language...
to check bearing if it is smooth and any gap, its no good....
But i wonder if the sellor allow u to dissemble their engine....
To me, i dont recommend buying a second hand engine....Many people like to lean the engine(including me), the engine has already tuned to overheat....so i think most second hand engines are not in the best condition...if u buy a rubbish and need to change many parts...then the price is higher than the new engine la..... |
