Optima was a great car at that time. That was the time when 4wd cars were rare and most cars had some rather ill-performing suspension.
Optima had a great drive train, suspension that worked (even though the original red shocks still leak like crazy but that was 'industrial standard'). It was also quite a bit cheaper than other cars like YZ834B or later Hotshot when they are fully equipped.
