$400 for a new one, $320 for repair, this is what the factory reply to the consumer the repair fee, and the reason is the consumer using another brand sensor cable....
What can u say? Anyway, it is not the matter of money...that's all i can say

Sorry for your unhappy experience. You are right it is a matter of luck. It's life and it always happens in KWS. I still can't accept why my new TRG F1 wheels was broken into pieces within 3 packs of old lipo without serious crash. Just like other electronic devices, we always have no idea of their sudden death. Let it go and try a new one, a new sunny day. Happy RC!
