depends if it's your first car.
if yes, i would choose mr-03 over awd.
i've got awd as my 1st car and i had lots of fun.
it requires lot of settings (equivalent to $$) to compete with friends who are not stock.

awd can be switched between 快車 or 漂移 but normally people will have 2 awds ready for each instead of changing parts on one all the time.
mr-03 is now my new toy. i loved it. not so much settings but still could race with non stock friends.
i also had a mr-015 and played abit of my friend's mr-02. i realised they lose control easily as they are rear wheel. they requires lots of practice.
mr-03 don't have such problem. don't know how they did it. it's still rear wheel but i can hardly spin even on wooden floor with used tires. the major difference is the front suspension design.
not as flexible as awd because it could only be 怏車.
but cost of parts are like 1/3 compared to awd even if you fully mod.
disavantage: no set with controller available. but you can ignore this if you are getting 2.4g.
