You CAN make the Twin Detonator climb very good, but it will be a lot of work. But if you want...here is basically what you have to do.
Since the Twin Detonator have a single motor for each end. You can modify it like a clodbuster (without center transmission). Ditch the stock chassis, and only use the gearboxes. Then to make each end a "solid axle", easiest way to do it is to replace the shocks with something solid, like a similar length steering rod. This will lock the suspension in place. Then lock both the front and rear diffs. Lastly, just make a chassis to connect the two gearbox together. I have seen someone make a stick chassis for the twin detonator, and it climbed amazingly, even better than most highly modded TLT's out there. But like I said, it is a lot of work and won't really be a twin detonator at the end. But same with the TLT. Both only uses the axles. |
