No, this is all-in-one adaptor and small in size. It comes with charging wires as well.
The max. charger current is 5A.
My 1S-Lipo is cool after charging.
Normally all lipos should be charge with 1 or 2c max, if you have a 5800mah lipo, start the charging current with 5.8A, it may shorten the charging time alot

But of course, it depends on the need if charging time is a factor.^^
Use 6A to charge the 1S 3.7V Lipo, do you think it will be harmful to the Lipo and
reduce the battery life? Also, will it increase the risk of explosion?
Don't think so. I am charging my silverback 60C with 7A. And had try it using 15A before. Nothing happen during charging and the car have more punch than charging with 7A. But as I am not sure will any bad things happen I will just use 7A normally.
