Race Rules
The 2011 Short-Course Nationals Rules (revised 4-2-11)
2wd Stock Sponsored by Max Amps (XXX-SCT, SC10, Blitz, Strike, SCx, Slash, Ultima SC, & Pro-2wd type vehicles and similar)
Electronics:
Open to all servos, brushless speed controls, Transmitters/Receivers (the use of a 2.4GHZ Radio System is strongly encouraged).
Battery:
6 – 7 cell NiMH Style Battery Packs or 2-Cell LiPo or LiFe Type Battery Packs Only.
Motor:
Must use the Team Trinity Monster Locked Hand-Out Motor.
Tires:
Open Short Course Specific Tires
Body:
Full fender short course inspired bodies only.
Chassis/Suspension:
Open to any and all option parts intended for the use on SC vehicles
Speed Controls:
All speed controls must be run in no timing/no boost profile. Speed controls that cannot be checked are not allowed. Anyone caught cheating will be disqualified from said class and no refund will be given.
NOTE:
Other vehicles conforming to the above mentioned rules and specs may be allowed pending race director’s approval.

In the spirit of Short- Course racing only Tires/Wheels Intended For Use In Short-Course Style R/C Racing Are Allowed. This means no 1/8 scale buggy tires and wheels.

The following must be factory stock OEM items without modification:
Motor, chassis, suspension arms, shock towers, transmission including differential, tires, wheels, speed control, servo, shock bodies, skid plates, bumpers, driveshafts, ETC.
The use of the following aftermarket items are allowed:
Receiver/Transmitter (the use of a 2.4GHZ Radio System Is Strongly Encouraged), C-Hubs, Steering Knuckles, Rear Hubs, Shock Caps, Shock Oil, Shock Springs, Battery/Motor Connectors, steering linkage/turnbuckles. If it does not say you can change the item, you can’t. SWAY BARS ARE NOT ALLOWED

Minimum of 3S Lipo (11.1 Volts)
Tires/Wheels:

Other Important Rules:
PERSONAL TRANSPONDERS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL CLASSES
Dimensions:
Vehicles must be within+/- 5mm of the factory stock dimensions
Race Format:
All qualifying races (electric and nitro) will be 5-minutes long
Electric 2wd Mains will be 6-minutes long
Electric 4wd Small Block Mains will be 6 minutes long
Electric 4wd Big Block Mains will be 10 minutes long
Nitro A-Mains will be 15-Minutes long
Nitro B-Mains will be 10 Minutes long
All other nitro mains will be 5-minutes long
All races, including qualifying and mains, will be heads up in style. Vehicles will be lined up 4-wide on the straight-a-way (this will make for 3 rows) and when the starting tone sounds the race will begin.
Bump-Ups
Once qualifying is complete 10 vehicles will be placed in each main based on their single best qualifying time. Lower mains will be raced first with the top two vehicles (first and second place) bumping up the next, higher, main. This will make for a maximum of 12 vehicles is subsequent mains.
