Used to play R/C as 放狗 for years.. never serious to play in track before.
Recently start playing with my friend in TSW/JV with my TT01 years before..
All has been good when I just keep using stock motor. Until we finally upgraded to BL motor/esc and buy some new tyres.. things start getting out of control.
Last night test again at JV and both of our car could hardly turn. It just keep spinning
The spec is
TT01
Aluminum Shaft
S9451
HW 60A BL 19T/61T
Sorex 36R
I tried to read some posts and here are some query:
1) "smoothen' the A arm will help? (I read some post said this may be the cause?)
2) adding 'front solid diff' will help?
3) the tyre we bought, can use immediately on track? or need to do some procedure like '搽呔水' ?
Hi there, smoothen the A-arms will help, also the tires should be good to go out of the package, sometimes needs to run in the tires first (run the car slowly for about 10-15mins).
Thanks guys.
I will try to get these
1) front solid diff
2) universial joint
3) spacer
4) TRF suspension
and install one by one to spot the difference...
Just some experience sharing. I am having fun to improve my TT01.
My TT01's speed improved a lot when I use a Kadawa 48P 66T spur gear, 25T motor gear, alum shaft and 8.5T motor.
For how to use Kadawa 48P 66T spur gear on TT01. I learn from this post. http://bbs.rc-evo.com/forum.php? ... &highlight=tt01
I use a TB03 spur gear adapter. The center shaft of the adapter needs to be cut shorter.
After several tests at JV, the car is unstable when going straigth. The next change is rear toe in 2 deg by using 2 deg C-hub. Problem solved.
It provides similar speed and stabiliy as my Sakura 0 S (7.5T motor, rear 3 deg toe-in).
However, there is one issue observed, steering. Any suggestion on improving TT01 on cornering.
last night tried again at JV with my friend. I changed to a very badly sprayed ISF body in orange colour. Instead of SPIN, now it keeps non-stop 'cup 4'.. sometimes could roll for 5-6 times
May need to consider to re-setup the car again.....
I am not sure how to adjust the ride height for TT01. Seems need some options A arms for downstop screw which I don't equip with now. That's why I installed a new so called 'racing' body and set the body as low as possible (while keeping the original ride height) but seems doesn't help much.
Anyway, may need to consider a less grip tyre or a softer spring/damper oil?
