油改電摩打双速齒................there are NO NEED to use 2-speed if using electric motor.
双速 - only need for NITRO engine because nitro engine (or any engine) does not has the instant torque to spool up the RPM....thats why when it accelerate, it will need a bigger spur to spool up to the RPM then shift to the 2nd gear for TOP SPEED.
Electric motor has INSTANT TORQUE...no reason and no need to have 双速...we have tested 双速 with electric motor and the problem is the INSTANT ELECTRIC SPIKE (peak amp power) draw back to the motor then to the ESC, it will BURN the ESC as when the car shifted to the 2nd speed...the AMP DRAW will draw back to the electric motor(like the 2nd speed is actually CHARGING back the power back to the motor) and it will transfer to the ESC and it will blew up the cap, then the ESC motor....
Also, when it shift...the WHOLE CAR WILL BE stalled for like 1/2 of a second and it will suddenly shifted like the car is on BOOST...totally useless and totally unnecessary....
Get a faster motor (like Speed Passion 2750) and better LIPO and gear up...use dynamic timing and it will achieve the top speed.
Actually, my GT8 is a Traxxas Slash 4x4 SCT convert to GT8e...car is like 40% lighter then the typical 1/8th GT, and I am using only 2 cells lipos...with Reventon PRO V1.1 ESC, along with the Speed Passion 550 size 5500kv SCT motor....with TURBO setting. Car is just as fast as the typical GT8 due to the weight of the car is much lighter then true 1/8th.....btw, Slash 4x4 is the same as as the SHORT BASE 1/8th GT just like HN and Serpent Cobra so only can use short base body.
