I was also a poor boy when Mr Wu was doing biz under staircase at "Jordan Road" area.
His sales trick was: medium size wooden boat (even there was FRP hull in the market already), lot of hand paint (no airbrush painted, which is lighter and betterfinsihing as used by Great Wall Model in ABC boats), Oversized engines with large fuel tank BUT deeper shaft angle.., loaded the hull with lead ballast. ALL these are inefficient power chain and old school setup but customers paid for unnecessay items...

Yes , he liked to sell so called "Army-used" Alkaline 1.5V battery for spark plug and said will charge for me free of charge. But he only charged for short time for starting engine a few times!
