if you know cars, Initial D is really possible...but as it is a comics, it definitely will "godify" the story line to attract more readers...drifting can be slow or fast...fast drifting requires more technique...it's not just tire spinning or turning in....you can see the drivers are using many techniques to make the cars drift as they wish....like heel/toe, braking point, using clutch instead of braking to achieve weight transfer, so no speed lost....hand braking......I would say drifting is similar to rally technique....Fast does not necessarily mean the driver has skills......
