Mate, no offence, if I sound condescending in my last post, I apologise 
It seems that before you ask the question you already had some concerns, on the plastic of both cars and I reckon you have these concerns based on hearsay. I share with you, as a previous owner of two VBC D06, having totaled one and gave one to a friend's son to run as basher, that their plastic now is not that bad like I heard about their D05. IMO my experience in assembling the VBC is one of the best so far, and I am saying this comparing amongst the other car kits that I owned last year (and I would refrain from listing them out for not to be taken by others as an act of showing off, which I have no intention to do so). I am not associated with VBC or any of the shops, just a customer, and of course you can freely dismiss my .2 cents as hearsay.
Then, if you really concern about the plastic parts of the two, why choose between them? You can also consider that TM car, and though I know nothing about that car, it is a matter of fact that car only one shop carries it (as it seems), and I let you consider the implication to that, if any. Finally for a few hundred bucks more you can consider the name brands like XRay, TRF or BD7 where you might have less concern on their quality and with less concerns on parts availability.
