Sand Scorcher or Rough Rider?

Who in here still has the Tamiya Sand Scorcher or Rough Rider?

I don't recall seeing many. And they never come up on Yahoo HK auction.
Back in the days, were these cars ever popular in HK?
I am looking for a SS locally if possible.

what condition are you looking for and how much are you prepare to pay for a Sand Scorcher?

I just bid this in Jp Yahoo and waiting to delivery:

Although the condition is not very good, it is a good starting point! (start bleeding )

Congrat, price is good for 2 cars. The condition is OK too.

Actually, one incomplete car with remote and two fair condition bodies.

Congrats. Really lovely cars. I wish to own them.

I think up to $6000 for a mint condition one.

MIP metal roll cage
CRP side guard
CRP front and rear anti-roll bar
Thorp metal gear with ball diff.
a orginal scorcher shell with only 1 crack...

in 1978 to 83, Rougha rider and sand scorcher were very popular in HK. Almost everyone had one.
