I think why there are $1xx and $1xxx ESCs in the market. It is because there are different demands in the market. Someone want to play for fun only and save money. Slow speed is ok for them. So manufacturers make some low end esc for them.
Someone want to play for speed and exciting....they need to run 7 to 8T motors.....they draw high current...and those people have demands on the handling of the ESC...need the ESC (feel follows the hand)....then of course, need those high-end ESCs.....Those ESCs are manufacturered very well with good QC, design, components....So they sell it at $1XXX.....
I think if u have a trial on those high-end ESC....and open the box to compare the difference between the low end esc and high end esc..... u will know the truth
