MIP 4x400

any brother had installed this item before??

MIP 4x400 conversion kit for the tamiya sand scorcher and other SRB chassis kits.

can also be used to convert a vintage rc-10 to 4wd

This is an expensive rubbish. The steering is sloppy and the front dogbones were steel wires only. The flexible cable was horrible. MIP eventually took the smarter way: use chain.

a perfect shelf queen.......

tho i have not heard of this product b4 (unless someone gave me a call)

but with bidding so aggressively given that there are still 2 days to go....this item must worth a mountain!!!!

I think there is no choice.....
I also want  to make a 4WD sand scorcher, but no money for the kit.
actually you still can found new kit in US hobby store, but most over USD$1K

any idea if we can join together and make our own version?  I think most people still like it will over 36+, should get more knowledge and technology to built better than those.

I know bros here had make suspe. arms and gear.  Any one interesting??

I see one in germany, the guy drill a hole in the gear box, extend one gear shaft join a flex shaft to the front, a small belt gear box in the front with some dog bones and custom steering hubs, work great.

Most important is the car still is a strong and maintaince free buggy, with water resistance servo and speed control, they just play, water wash, play, water wash..........................

So bad no cam when see it

Do you have a linkof that German SRB?

Yes, I do think getting a self made conversion kit is not impossible. PM me.

not from internet, 03 in hamburg myself, and man age around 45 make it, get a deep memory as he wash the car after playing, which I like rough rider in the beginning

I think we can try to us small cars front steering knuckles, e.g. rc18

will that strong enough???? my final goal is a rough rider happy for sunday drive and no need maintaince, just water wash..heeee

Gearbox keep it simple, just chain drive and sprockets.

but will rough rider chassic good for a chain on it??
will flexshaft or belt also possible?

chain is more adjustable in length. Belt is harder to come by in correct length. Flexshaft is a power robber, the worst.SRB chassis should be OK.

The question is, which front steering knuckle fits better: 18 son or mini-inferno?

don't know any idea about 2, will go out see see first
