Among all shot series, Hotshot is definitely the most popular one.

In my opinion, re-issued Hotshot was realeased to test the water.

Unless re-issued version sells quite well, Tamiya won't consider to release the rest of the series.

Well, let's wait and see. Miracle happens sometimes, doesn't it.

哇~~~ 果時覺得 boomerang 既車殼及配色好靚好 elegant 架  

不過果時我係玩 hotshot 2, 而家砌左復刻 hotshot, 仲追唔追番呢部好呢?

in the old days, it had no space for battery box and the BEC was USELESS....today, we can put tiny esc for it...hohoho

No lar.  There was no space for the battery of receiver.  So, the BEC was very "useful".  
The BEC was not included in the kit.  I bought the option from "Hing Kee" for an additional 30 dollars when I assembled the mechanical speed controller.
I used it for a year until I could afford a cheap ESC.

不過用 BEC
在電池最後剩低好少電果時
部車會失控
所以臨尾要好小心睇住, 隨時要追車

yes ar.... need to play it smartly....however at that time, a 1200mah battery could only last for ~5to8 mins max (with my crazy trackless forward & backward drifting style). To avoid chicken catching, we got to play it like today lipo battery cars w/o lipo low V function...haha

The Boomerang should be a bit expensive.
