i will recommend use KT-18 if you new at mini-z. once you find that it needs upgrade your tools such as transmitter, charger, fet install..... then go for it. therefore, you can notice about the different performance after something to upgraded. by the way, KT-18 not so bad. the most important thing to play rc is your fingers.
