Yokomo R12 using normal tires

Is there any c-hing try to modify the R12 to use normal 1/12 tires?

Yes, using JACO, ATS.... 1/12 tires

You will need to change R12's rear axle, rear hubs to use other brand's rim.
This is very costly

one of my friend is using it now.  makes it a lot more convenience to buy tires.

Can you give us some more detail?  The parts from which car?

He use a complete rear diff and hub from a R5.1.  For the front makes sure you use the larger wheel like Jaco or it will rub on the steering turnbuckle.
