xray t2 009 aluminum shocks

Hi c-hing,

Does anyone of you buy the aluminum shock set for x-ray 009?  I am surprise for this level of car x-ray provide plastic shocks.

Its a business decision by Xray.
Either they can sell the current kit @ $31xx.  
or
Sell the current kit + metal shocks @ $38xx (just an estimate).  but if they choose this way, they will scare off a lot of potential customers.

Never look down on the plastic shocks from Xray.  They are even better than many metallic ones of other brands, especially for the adjustable pistons.....

Thanks.  I never look down on those plastic ones.  but curious if the aluminum ones are better than the plastic.

My experience (T1FK05, T2, T2 007, T2 008) tells they are pretty good.

Of course, metallic ones are expected to be better....

the plastic shocks is very good in performance, keep pressure very well, team racer use it as well, except plastic will break after a big crash.

I love them more than Tamiya TRF shocks, actually.

$ 420 其實唔算貴, TRF 都 $ 380 啦,但係Xray 跟車唔送 Tamiya 就係跟車有.

XRAY plastic shock is very light-weighted and consistent in performance. If you look at XRAY Team drivers, nearly all of them are using the plastic shocks set. The reason probably be that the plastic shocks set is relatively easiler to adjust the rebounce in terms of time and effort required.
