Yes. Mr Wong machined it out from aluminium .  I saw him feeling so proud of his work to his partner when completing the spur gear at his shop at To kwai wan someday. (also his clone 1/12's provided some less pricy support , especially on the elect. stuff to my 12E). I wonder if someone still keeps the design, it can be reborn somewhere in China

Fok Lee led the Serpent team, Waigo had the Yoko Assoc. All the three major shops hoisted the races at Shatin.  You needed to be club mambers of them to join the races. So I was member of World model and Waigo.

You see the Perry carb is rotory type , not the slide type with dust cover on the barrel. There were lots of innovative ideas to prevent dust but slide carb was the key. Slide carbs from Preston, Mccoy, Ops, Delta, PB, not to leave out the Japanese Mikuni were hot hop up....In addition, those L lever and spring make up the overriding machanism but the throttle servo was not strong enough to force through the jammed barrel.

I think a lot of vintage rc cars got "killed" or srapped in Hong Kong due to 1997 migrations  move on top of the normal growing up, study overseas, getting married, not enough family space etc problems.

I would suggest a decent Elfin Canam body will make it a good candidate in the our time passage.

Wow! Elfin gives high front bite and the rear wing provides adjustable rear down force. Steering of Rc 300 is neutral to a bit pushing , so need Elfin. On the other hand, the Delta has a more responsive dialing characteristic, so they use the MRP Spyder or something  with lower profile.

polar bear: you are right, I always remember the Delta bodies are more aggressive in the front end.
