Using motor temperature as guidance. After finishing one battery pack, the motor temperature should be around 80C. Just my opinion.
Not neccessarily right. Under gear and over gear also would cause overheat. So if the motor is overheat, which direction of gear ratio change should you go? Just my opinion...haha...
You can look at the color of the commutator after one run as a reference. Suppose motor brush spring pressure is sufficient, the brushes are well ran in and no vibration occurred between commutator and brush, if the color of the commutator turns silver, then the car is under gear. If the color of the commutator turns redish, the car is over gear. But still, the moment of truth rules. |
