I won't suggest... But I have tried the same method as above few times, some batteries (small) I have success, some big one... No luck, but I was able to just dump the dead cell. (ie: make the 4s to 3s by cutting the dead 1s away)

Sometimes you let the battery sit for a while (put to storage mode) it will go back to normal......
