新手請教Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL

剛入手玩這車,唔知有無師兄玩開這款車呢?

I do... Way question you want to ask?

To be honest.... If you are in HK, I don't think you need to play traxxas .... So many other better choice.

其實買黎好想去上水天平山飛車哈哈哈.....
不過唔知改裝有乜好搞下佢呢?

Um... Not mean traxxas is no good... But may be I live in Canana.... The only brand here (mainly) is traxxas....... So, just boring to me, and their price is reasonable here., (compare to special order kyosho ...tamiya... Etc etc...

Just so many choice in HK ( yes...I am jealous! And I need to order stuffs from HK ...US..or UK)

Few year ago when brushless system and 2.4g radio was expensive, then the traxxas RTR (ready to run) is good, but now, brushless is cheap, (hobbywing, toro, etc) and so convenience in HK with many shops for parts.....

Few things you need to pay attention,  their arms and chassis are pretty strong,  but the dog bone, center shaft, and all the plastic C-hub are very fragile, and need to upgrade, also, due the HCG, very easy to flip, good to upgrade with the new LCG chassis. (The one for Slash and Rally)

Hong Kong is a good place to source for RC parts. Many shops and selections in just one little street. As for the RC community, it hard to compair to those in US and Canada. People dedicate their time and effort to share their experiences on forums and YouTube. Plus their community are much larger, no matter the amount of people or in land, more people more idea and experiences. For HK, you'll meet nice people on race tracks, they are willing to help and share in person.

I have a 2 wheel drive stampede. Yes, their caster blocks are weak. Suggest to replace to metal. Once the king pin is bent, it's hard to take the plastic caster block out. I had to cut my open to replace it.

但請教下....玩左兩星期唔知撞中乜........彎左兩次頭避震心.買左一對新心返黎就咁無哂
如果換鈦心好唔好呢?

玩過2wd.換左前後四支油壓同前後四個肩.不過部車本身比dd油都成日起琴好難控

Yes ...   dog done is weak .. (plastic)
It is overall a durable car, as Traxxas uses good plastic, when you ride it with 2s (7.4v) battery or 8.4v, should be no problem at all, but once you play it with 3s, (which is very fun and fast) then the car is hard to control due to high centre gravity, so it will flip and crash all the time, and unlike it's brother SLASH, with huge bumpers and full size heavy body shell, which make the car super durable.

Shock are weak too, (again plastic) see if you can upgrade to metal shock ..  

But the problem is ..  if you add metal shocks, rpm arms, metal dogbone, metal C hub around, add on fans (with 3s) and change to better tire ...  you are spending another $1,000 or more ..  price add up la..  close to a 1/8 ..

玩過Traxxas都有幾款 唯一對 Stampede 失望.
同類型的比較會選擇HPI Savage XS

其實廣華街呢種電車好似唔多見擺出來.好似HPI Savage XS呢款係咪要訂呢?

另見到過部 AXIAL EXO RTR跟無刷 $21XX 都低玩

  $21xx for EXO RTR is a bargain.... Get the control/handle as 1/8 buggy...  Totally difference to stampede.

Cost over $4k hkd here...

Curious how much for Stampede 4x4 rtr and savage xs in HK?
