1/8 buggy motor running temp ?

Hello everyone, I am a beginner of 1/8 buggy. I have got a HW 150A combo. I installed it into an Xray 808E with 13T pinion running 4s battery, the motor temp seems to be very very high after running. What is the normal temp for a 1/8 electric motor after a run?

I will use temp gun to test it. BTW, do you use motor fan to cool it off? My motor diameter is 40mm, any recommendation?

Go lower the punch and the timing of the ESC, the normal temp of motor is around 70-80

i dont use fan in 1:8, proper gearing and esc setting should make the motor temp in good range...

Hot (warm) is ok, not boiling hot ... (Your hand can still touch and hold it)

13T still be very safe with 4s on 808 ...
